College Counseling
I’ve been working in college access for over a decade. In that time, 100% of students have been admitted to their matched colleges with their funding needs met, and have graduated on-time or are on track to do so.
My priority is to get students through college, in as close to four years, with as little debt as possible.
In this course, you will learn how to get into colleges that will fund and graduate you on-time.
Getting in is easy. Getting out with little debt is the hard part.

How to Start a Business
I have started three social impact companies including a non-profit. I have also raised venture funds to support the scaleable business. As a first-generation, single mother, and Afro-Latina, that is no small feat.
In this course you will learn how to start a business, create social impact and business goals, and fund your business (either in venture or otherwise). At times, I’ll introduce you to friends I’ve made along the way.
The intention here is to create viable startups in a climate that is hostile to most founders, not to create professional accelerator participants who are too distracted by the promise of funding to accomplish their goals.

Social Science and Artificial Intelligence
My graduate work looks at race through social science and computer science. In this course, you’ll learn more about my research and how to implement this scholarship into machine learning models and every day practice.
As we rely more on predictive technology, it is imperative that we also understand how those predictions impact our personhood when we are not aware.

I use a lot of what I’ve learned from being a teacher and studying social science, namely that everyone wants to be successful and it isn’t the person’s fault when they are not. There are real barriers in the way and knowledge of these barriers is one way to overcome them.
